How to play

A round is a simple contest. You try to knock the other fighter off balance or out of the fight before they do the same to you. When a round ends, the next one begins by itself, so you never need to touch a menu between bouts.

• Do not hold your keys down the whole time. Mashing tends to leave a ragdoll off balance and easy to topple, so short taps and pauses usually work better.
• Let your opponent commit first. A fighter who swings wildly often leaves themselves open for a counter.
• Agree on seating before you start. Two people on one keyboard need a little space, and it is easy to hit the wrong key if you are crowded.
• Treat each round as its own contest. Losing one tells you little about the next, because the physics reset.
